Funeral service for James Fred Lindley, 88, of Hartselle will be Wednesday February 15, 2017 at 1:00PM at West Hartselle Baptist Church with Rev. Jack Redfearn officiating and Peck Funeral Home directing. Visitation will be Tuesday February 14, 2017 from 6:00PM to 8:00PM at Peck Funeral Home. Mr. Lindley will lie in state at the church Wednesday for one hour prior to the service.
Mr. Lindley died February 12, 2017 at Floyd E. “Tut” Fann State Veterans Home. He was born October 30, 1928 in Winston County to Joseph Franklin Lindley and Lessie Ward Lindley. Mr. Lindley retired from Redstone Arsenal after 30 years of service where he was employed by the Department of Defense. He served as a Technical Publications Editor for the LANCE Missile Project. Mr. Lindley also retired as a Chief Warrant Officer III with the U.S. Army National Guard. He was a member of West Hartselle Baptist Church since 1958; he served as a Deacon, Sunday school teacher and had many other leadership roles. Mr. Lindley was preceded in death by his parents; a daughter, Katrina Lindley and a brother, Edward Franklin Lindley.

In lieu of flowers the family requests memorial donations be made to the West Hartselle Baptist Church building fund.
