James Franklin Oliver, Sr., 88, Muscle Shoals, passed away on Wednesday, December 6, 2023. Visitation will be Friday, December 8, from 10:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. at Morrison Funeral Home, Tuscumbia. The funeral service will immediately follow in the funeral home chapel with Casey Hagle officiating. Interment will be in Colbert Memorial Gardens, Tuscumbia.
James was a member of Parkview Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by his wife, Gloria Oliver.
James was a loving father and Papaw and is survived by his children, James Franklin “Jimmy” Oliver, Jr. (Brandi), Steve Oliver (Allison), and Cindy Malone (Johnnie); sisters, Marvalene Richardson and Lucille Vandiver; grandchildren, Holli McGuire, Whitney Malone, Carley Malone, and Jaxton Oliver; and longtime business partner and brother-in-law, Wesley Willis.
Pallbearers will be Tim McMullins, Timmy Chapman, Chris McGuire, Bob Little, Andy Martin, and Brooks Johnson.
