James Franklin Gamble, Jr., 75, of Florence, died Sunday, December 28, 2014. His visitation will be Tuesday, December 30, 2014 from 1:00 pm until 2:00 pm at Morrison Funeral Home, Tuscumbia. His funeral service will immediately follow at 2:00 pm in the funeral home chapel with Bro. Gary Cosby officiating. Burial will follow in Oakwood Cemetery, Tuscumbia.
Mr. Gamble was born in Tuscaloosa, but lived most of his life in Tuscumbia. Mr. Gamble was a 1957 graduate from Deshler High School, and a 1961 graduate of Florence State College (UNA). He was a veteran of the U.S. Army having served post Korean War and was an Army Airborne Ranger. He was a member of Christ Chapel. He was preceded in death by his parents, James Franklin Gamble, Sr. and Elizabeth Allen Gamble; and his sister, Jennie Sue Morgan.
Survivors include his wife, Judith R. Gamble; brother, John Allen Gamble; sister, Linda Lou Gamble Schatz; and mother-in-law, Louise Richey.
Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
