James Everette Williams James Everette Williams, age 75, a resident of Columbia, Tennessee, passed away on Thursday, May 16, 2024, at Maury Regional Medical Center.

 

A funeral service will be held on Saturday, June 1, 2024 at 1:00 PM at Open Door Baptist Church with Brandon Cothran officiating.  A visitation will also be held on Saturday, June 1, 2024 at from 12:00PM until 1:00PM at the church. Heritage Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.

Born on January 15, 1949, in Columbia, Tennessee, James was the son of the late Edward Lee Williams and the late Mary Louise Watkins Williams.

James was married to the love of his life, Linda, and they spent over 50 wonderful years together. James found great joy in fishing, camping, and being outdoors. He loved raising chickens and working on mowers in his spare time. His beloved dog, Katrinka, was a constant companion and source of happiness. A man of deep faith, James was a devoted member of Open Door Baptist Church. Most of all, James cherished his family.

James is survived by his sons, Calvin Williams of Columbia, David (Cathy) Williams of Culleoka, and Maybern Edward Williams of Columbia; brothers, Wayne (Kim) Williams of Pleasantview, Albert (Faye) Williams of Centerville; sisters, Nellie (Alex) Lawler of Columbia and Belle (Terry) Isabell of Mt. Pleasant; and grandchildren, Courtney Williams and Lindsay Williams.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife, Linda Williams; brother, Charles Williams; and sisters, Libby Lemay and Brenda Williams.
