James Elbert Cagle, age 85, Haleyville, AL. passed away Wednesday June 19, 2024 at his home. He was a member of South Haleyville Church of Christ, retired from the Army National Guard, worked with Rayburn’s Furniture and for himself laying Carpet.
Visitation will be Saturday June 22, 2023 from 12:00NOON – 2:00PM at Pinkard Funeral Home in Haleyville, AL. Funeral service at 2:00PM in the chapel, with Arvy Dupuy officiating. Burial to follow in Winston Memorial Cemetery.

He is survived by his wife, Kathryn Jones Cagle; children, Tammy K. Lee (Danny) and James Todd Cagle (Lesley); sister, Faye Marks; grandchildren, Kenneth Arnold, Savannah Burnett (Daniel), Drew Tuck, Abby Minugh (Kyle), Drew Lee, Allyson Spears, Patrick Spears (Elizabeth) and Megan Spears; great grandchildren, Ella Minugh, Ezra Minugh, Hayden Tuck, Raelyn Minugh, Elian Burnett, Makaiah Burnett and Nolan Stolberg; special nieces and nephews, Kaye Goodlow (Wayne), Martha Cooper (Jerry), Suzi Bradley (Bill), Jeannie Carter (David), Tina Jones (Perry), Taylor and Ann, Lee Marks, and Jennifer Borishansky (David, Eidan and Devin).
He was preceded in death by his parents, James William Cagle and Savannah Belle Hopson Cagle; brothers and sisters, Ed Cagle (Maxine), Elton Cagle (Ilene), Eloise Cagle, Joe Cagle (Betty), Ann Kardimas and Martha Francis Cagle; nephew, Jerome Grimes.
