James Edwin “Jimmy” Ashton, age 76, passed away on Thursday, September 7, 2023.
He was born in Lewisburg, TN on March 11, 1947, to the late John Mack and Elizabeth Orr Ashton.
He was also preceded in death by his brother, John Lyndall Ashton. Visitation will be on Monday, September 11, 2023, from 11 AM until 1 PM at Carr & Erwin Funeral Home, where Funeral Services will be held at 1 PM. Burial to follow in Mars Hill Cemetery.
Survivors include his wife, Kathy Ashton of Lynnville, his sons, Brian Ashton “Angie” of Sparta, and Brad Baker “Wendy” of Waverly, his daughters, Jill Ashton of Cookeville and Lindy Watkins “Terry” of Waverly, his sisters, Estelle Ashton and Martha Ashton Sells both of Lynnville, his grandchildren, Josh Ashton, Jessica Brewington, Nick Ashton, Chelsea Ashton, Blaine Baker, Savannah Baker, Lizzie Baker, Bailey Hickman, Marston Hickman, Jacob Hickman, Ellie Watkins, Grady Baker, and his great grandchildren,Thomas and Shelby Brewington and Brian Lynn Ashton.
