James Edward Kinard Sr., 69, of Haleyville entered into rest Sunday November 4, 2012 at his residence surrounded by his family.
Mr. Kinard was born January 4, 1943 in Double Springs. He was a member of Trinity Way Church for 10 years. James enjoyed fishing, playing horse shoes, playing pool, collecting guns, listening to music and dancing.
Visitation will be Wednesday November 7, 2012 from 11am-1pm at Nichols Funeral Home in Haleyville were services will be held at 1pm. Burial will follow in Ashbank Cemetery in Nauvoo. Brother Bobby Knight will officiate.
He is survived by his loving wife of 34 years Carolyn Sue Kinard, sons; James E .Kinard Jr., Richard S. (Esther) Canida, Junior Best; daughters, Tammy Motes, Jennia Burney, Lisa Johnson; sisters, Charlene Millwood, Jackie Hallman, and Polly Kinard. He was “Paw Paw” to 7 grandchildren; Eddie Joe Johnson, Jennie Clapp, Jasmine Kinard, Christine Kinard, Rebecca Best, Ruby Motes, Carolyna Canida, also “Paw Paw” to 5 great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents Sterling “Bud” and Hazel Kinard; son, David Best; brothers, Bill Kinard, Bobby Joe Kinard and sister, Judy Kinard.
