Apostle James Edward Hume, 80, of Booneville, passed away Thursday, February 16, 2017 at Baptist Memorial Hospital in Booneville, MS. He was born November 1, 1936 to the late James Arthur Hume and Ruby E. Carmon Hume in East St. Louis, IL. A celebration of life service is set for 12:00pm, Monday, February 20, 2017 at Faith Temple House of Prayer in Jacinto, MS, with Bro. Joseph & Sis. Paula Christian officiating. Interment will follow in Faith Temple Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends for a time of visitation Monday from 10:00am until service time at the church. Apostle Hume dedicated his life to the ministry and was member of the Ranks of 50 Ministries and was affiliated with Bro. and Sis. David Terrell and the Book of Acts Church. Those left to hold his memory include his wife of 50 years, Ettie M. Hume of Booneville, MS; daughters, Moneda Duckworth (Marty) of Colorado Springs, CO; Patti Brock (Steve) Booneville, MS; Ruby A. Hume Horn (Anthony) of Rienzi, MS; Paula Christian (Joseph Dale) of Booneville, MS; 11-Grandchildren, Kandi Gaberdiel (Adam); James Duckworth; Kasey Phillips (Peter); Joshua Kelly; Leah Kelly; Rachel Kelly; Matthew Brock (Kristy); Danika Collins (Estill); Jon Hume; Ettie Christian; Gracie Christian; 14-Great Grandchildren; one brother, Charles Arthur Hume (Georgia) of Virginia Beach, VA; two sisters, Elaine Thomure (Gary) of Pinckneyville, IL; Kathy Thompson of Belleville, IL; other relatives and a host of friends. He was preceded in death by a grandchild, Matthew Newcomb; three great-grandchildren; sister, Helen Austin; and his parents.
