Mr. James Edward Harris, age 75 of Aspel, Alabama passed away Thursday, October 5, 2023 at Highlands Medical Center.
He had a love for old cars, especially a 1967 Chevelle and riding his Harley Davidson motorcycle. He also worked for the railroad. Born in California, he moved to Alabama in the late 1980s where he built a home and raised a family.
Funeral services will be held at Scottsboro Funeral Home on Thursday, October 12, 2023 at 1 p.m. Burial will follow in Cedar Hill Cemetery. The family will receive friends at Scottsboro Funeral Home on Wednesday, October 11, 2023 from 5-8 p.m.
Mr. Harris is survived by his wife, Brenda Harris; three sons, Joshua Harris, Daneil Harris, and Mark Atherley; grandchildren, Alivia Atherley, Kelsey Atherley, Hudson Harris, and Joshua Thrasher. He is also survived by two sisters, Esther Taylor and Iris Vivola; and a big family of cousins and nieces and nephews.
