As a little boy Trammell, now twelve, learned what blood relative meant. He announced he and his brother must have his Nana and Papa’s blood in them. Understandably, two of the most significant and loving orbits in the world of Trammell and Holland Hurley must be part of their life blood. Blood can’t begin to explain the depth of the relationship. And the passing of the boys’ Papa reminds us even more, of how much “life” he contributed to Trammell and Holland. Holland has forever been molded into a pocket knife whittling, caring individual who sees the world through the loving eyes of his Papa. Trammell described it best. Having been present from their births, through each Christmas morning, Thanksgiving meal or the daily drives home from school, his Papa was so important and made such an impression on these two young boys, that he will forever live on in them.
