James had served in the United States Army. He lived in Hardin County all of his life and worked for the county as a Waste Management Operator. He was a member of the River Heights Pentecostal Church since 1969. He enjoyed serving his church and drove the van to pickup those that needed a ride to services. Reading his Bible and listening to Gospel music were things enjoyed, along with fishing and duck hunting.
He is survived by his wife, Nancy Bingham of Savannah, Tennessee; children, Tina Wicker and Steve Bingham, both of Morris Chapel, Tennessee, Brent Russom of Shiloh, Tennessee, Bryce Russom of Savannah, Tennessee, DeeAnn Lambert of Counce, Tennessee, and Gail Roberts of Savannah, Tennessee; grandchildren, Jennifer Wicker, Hunter Wicker, Lacy Bingham, and Chase Lineberry; and several great grandchildren.
