James Edward Adams, 79, of Anderson died Tuesday, Sept. 18, 2012, at Athens-Limestone Hospital. He was retired from Conagra, Athens, Ala.
Visitation will be Thursday from 11-1 at Rogersville Funeral Home where the funeral service will follow immediately in the chapel with Bill Barlow officiating. Burial will be in Bethel Cemetery.
Mr. Adams was preceded in death by his parents, William and Minnie Adams; brothers, Doyce and Lois Rosson. He is survived by his wife, Margaret Adams; son, Michael (Laura) Adams; daughter, Patricia (Randy) Lanier; grandchildren, Timmy Adams, Connie Boley, Amanda Jones, Gary Adams, Michael Adams Jr. and Timothy Adams; great-grandchildren, Clay, Sierra, Grayson, Madison, Morgan, Ashley and Kimberly; brothers, Robert and Hubert Adams; and a sister, Haughty Forsythe.
