Graveside services for Mr. James E. Lawrence, age 86, are scheduled for 2 PM, Thursday, January 21, 2016 at Lexington Cemetery. Mr. Lawrence passed away late Tuesday in Lexington. He was born February 6, 1929 in Medford, MA to the late Eben Lincoln and Mary Cecelia Weatherbee Lawrence. Mr. Lawrence was a WWII Merchant Marine, a member of American Legion Post 77, Constantine Lodge #64, Lexington Lions Club, and was a retired Chief Inspector for Hartford Steam Boiler. He was preceded in death by his wife, Mrs. Ava Lawrence and one grandson, James Vincent Lawrence. Survivors include his son, Mr. Bill Lawrence, his daughter, Ms. Jean Savoy; five grandchildren, Shelia Rowe, Andrew Lawrence, Robin Lawrence, Patrick Cherry, and Jessica Jemison; six great grandchildren, Wesley Cherry, Katie Cherry, Steven Savoy, Michael Kirslis, Derek Kirslis, and Kayleigh Rowe; and two great-great grandchildren, Isabella Sylvia and Kade Cherry.
