James E. Dickerson passed on May 12th, 2024 in Jacksonville, North Carolina where he resided with his wife Geraldine. James retired after a career with Ford Motor Company as a millwright. He was a 1968 graduate of Rogers High School where he earned the nickname “Golden Toe” on the football team. James was an avid golfer and Alabama football fan. He was always a hard worker and was ready to give advice on how to be successful. He was known to everyone for being a kind soul who was always full of joy and love. He was preceded in death by his wife, Kathy Braswell Dickerson; his sweet daughter, Angie; his mother, Clois; his father, Jimmy; brothers, Thomas and Ried; sisters, Shirley, Doris, Betty and Wanda.

James leaves behind many loving family members. His sister, Mary Rupe; nephew, David; niece, Raven; his loving children, Katie and Mark. Grandchildren, Megan, Hunter, and Dalton. Great-grandchildren, Lilly, Connor and Norah. And many wonderful nieces and nephews.

A Memorial for James will be at Atlas Church of Christ in Killen, Alabama on Saturday, June 15th at 10 AM.
