 James Dwight Ruple, 65, a loving father, grandfather and a friend to many entered the gates of Heaven on March 28, 2023.  He was born June 23, 1957 to Ernest Lee and Tressie “Sis” Ruple.  Dwight was a member of Cornerstone Church of God and the Bay Springs Masonic Lodge.  He loved to fish, hunt and garden, but his pride and joy was his daughter and two granddaughters.

Funeral services will be Saturday, April 1, 2 p.m. at Cornerstone Church of God with Bro. Rick Bradley officiating.  Burial will be in Belmont City Cemetery.  Deaton Funeral Home, Belmont, MS will be in charge of arrangements.

He is survived by his daughter, Pam Thompson; son-in-law, Jeff Thompson; granddaughters, Brooke and Madison Thompson; grandson, Justin Thompson (Dana); three great-grandchildren; his sister, Virginia Thorn and a host of nieces, nephews and many great friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents; sisters, Louise Humphries, Betty Bostick and Bessie Oaks and his brothers, James “Bud” Ruple, Hubert Ruple and William Ruple.

Pallbearers will be Randy Ruple, Wayne Roberson, Daniel Roberson, Brian Lynch, Erik McDonald and Clint Roberts.  Honorary pallbearers will be Ronnie Roberson, Terry Stanley, Donald Ray Thomas and Terry Wooten.

Visitation will be Saturday, April 1, 12-2 p.m. at Cornerstone Church of God, Red Bay, AL.
