Dwight Roby Profile Photo James “Dwight” Roby, age 67 of Northport AL, passed away on Tuesday, July 02, 2024, at his residence. There will be a graveside service Friday, July 05, 2024, at White’s Chapel Church of Christ Cemetery, at 10:00 a.m. Norwood-Wyatt Chapel will be directing the service.

James “Dwight” Roby is preceded in death by his father; James W. “Boe” Roby, paternal grandparents; John Author Roby and Bessie Roby, maternal grandparents; Thomas Roberts, and Belle Dunn, and nephew; Cheyenne McCollum.

He is survived by his daughter; Shannon Hubbard of Vance AL, son; Jarrette Roby of Brookwood AL, sisters; Terri Bradford of Hubbertville AL, and Teresa (Jerry) Channell of Buhl AL, mother; Annette Roby of Northport AL, grandchildren; Brennan Hubbard of Vance AL and Laykin Roby of Brookwood AL, mother of his children; Cherry Roby, nephew; Nathan (Tara) McCollum, niece; Jennifer Collins, great nephews; Fisher and Sam Collins, and great niece; Raean Bradford and a host of aunts and uncles.

Dwight passed away leaving behind a legacy of kindness and dedication. A proud 1975 graduate of Hubbertville High School, Dwight spent over 20 years as a master plumber and gas fitter. He found joy in the simple pleasures of life, such as fishing, camping, and cheering for Alabama Football. Known for his generous spirit, Dwight was a man with a heart of gold, always ready to lend a helping hand. His love for his family and friends was unwavering, and he will be deeply missed by all who knew him.

Pallbearers will be Brennan Hubbard, Jerry Channell, Nathan McCollum, Ron Foster, Mike Frazier, and Fisher Collins.

Honorary Pallbearers will be Becky Benton Coleman and Jimmy Cooley.
