James Durrell BramlettJames Durrell Bramlett, 51, of Valhermoso Springs, AL, passed away at his home Thursday. Durrell was affectionately known as ‘Big D’ to his family, friends, and co-workers. He was a long-term employee of Huntsville Hospital Health System and served as Administrative Manager of Plant Operations. He was a lifelong member of Valhermoso Springs First Christian Church. He was an avid hunter, fisherman, golfer, and all around outdoorsman.

Durrell is survived by his son, Landon Bramlett; daughter, Bayleigh Bramlett and Giana Bramlett; parents, James W. and Hazel M. Bramlett; sister, Kim Crawley and husband, Bruce; brother, Brett Bramlett and wife, Rachell; and many nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be from 1:00 to 3:00 p.m. Sunday Nov. 24, at Valhermoso First Christian Church, Hwy 36 East, Valhermoso Springs, AL with the funeral service following at 3:00 p.m. A private burial will be on the family farm. (www.laughlinservice.com)

Pallbearers will be Hunter Bramlett, Kolton Bramlett, Kris Bramlett, Jeb Bramlett, Cole Crawley and Dylan Ferguson. Honorary pallbearers (the Cotaco Braves) are Ronald Henry, Donald Henry, Philip Rice, Derald Shadden, Paul Giers and Byron Couey.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Huntsville Hospital Foundation, 801 Clinton Ave., East, Huntsville, AL 35801.
