James Douglas “PETE” Harris, 97, crossed over on Saturday, June 17, 2023 at the Veteran’s Home in Oxford. Pete was a friend to many, a character of extraordinary proportions and a genteel soul whose life in service to his County, State and Nation, including service in the U. S. Navy during WW II, were exemplary. Holland Funeral Directors will announce full arrangements as soon as out of town family arrives. The service will likely be on Thursday or Friday.
