James Douglas Fraley – Obituary

Mr. James Douglas Fraley, age 64, husband of Libby Wilhoite Fraley, and resident of Spring Hill, passed away early Thursday morning June 7, 2018 at his residence with his family by his side.

A celebration of life service will be held on Monday at 5PM at Heritage Funeral Home with Dean Barham officiating. A visitation will also be held on Monday from 3-5PM at the funeral home. A private entombment will be held in Maury Memorial Gardens Mausoleum. Heritage Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.

Born on February 21, 1954 in Florence, Alabama, James was the son of the late James Charles Fraley and the late Tommie James Fraley. He was a graduate of Columbia Central High School and previously worked as a production manager for Johnson Controls. He enjoyed fishing, eating, listening to music, and attending his grandkids soccer games.

In addition to his wife, Libby, he is survived by his daughter: Mandy (Chris) Young of Spring Hill; brother: Ken Fraley of Columbia; sister: Martha Fraley of Nashville; grandchildren: James Young and Emma Cate Young; beloved niece and nephews; and special dog: Whiskers.

Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Steve Fraley.
