James Donald “Don” Wilson, age 77 of Cherokee, passed away on Friday, July 14, 2017. His visitation will be Sunday, July 16, 2017 from 2:30 p.m. until 3:30 p.m. at Morrison Funeral Home, Cherokee. The funeral service will follow at 3:30 p.m. in the funeral home chapel with Steve Wilson officiating. Burial will follow in Cherokee Memorial Park.
Don is survived by his daughter, Donna Wilson, and two grandchildren, Bo Gresham and Jennifer Brooks, 5 great-grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Pallbearers will be Johnny Thompson, Andy Woods, Mike Wilson, and Steve Wilson.
The family expresses special thanks to Amedisys Hospice, especially his earth angels, Melissa Pauley and Holly Carter and also his close neighbors, Johnny and Treva Thompson, and Carri Benson.
