James David Maples, 82, passed away October 6, 2024.
Mr. Maples was a minister and life-long member of the Holiness Church. He was owner and operator of Maples Wholesale Vinyl Siding. Mr. Maples was known as a peace-maker, loving father and grandfather, who was loved by many.
He was survived by his children: Janie Stone, Gayle Brewer (Matt), Tammy Maples, and Cindy Hall; eleven grandchildren, eleven great-grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
Mr. Maples was preceded in death by his wife of 62 years, Ada Elizabeth Maples; parents, Albert and Bertha Maples; a number of siblings and other family members including four grandchildren: Amanda Stone, Ricky Stone, Casey Stone, and Trevor Brewer; and son-in-law Rodney Hall.
Visitation will be Tuesday, October 8th from 4:00 – 8:00 PM at Berryhill Funeral Home and Wednesday, October 9th from 10:00 AM – 1:00 PM at Gurley Holiness Church. Service will follow at the church at 1:00 with Rev. Joe Ventress, Rev. Patrick Price, and Bro. Greg Cowan officiating. Burial will be in Green Valley Cemetery.
