James David "Jim" DeMossJames David “Jim” DeMoss, 60, former resident of Columbia, died Friday, January 4, 2019 at Manchester Health Care Center

A graveside service will be held Monday, January 14, 2019 at 2:00 P.M. at Middle Tennessee Veterans Cemetery in Pegram. The family will visit with friends Monday from 10:00 A.M. – 12:00 P.M. at Oakes & Nichols Funeral Home. Condolences may be extended online at www.oakesandnichols.

Born January 23, 1958 in Honolulu, Hawaii, he was the son of Wanda Long DeMoss Kinnane and the late James W. DeMoss. Mr. DeMoss served in the U. S. Army as an Aircraft Electrician from August 1980 to August 1983.

In addition to his mother, he is survived by sons, Charlie (Margaret) DeMoss, Wayne DeMoss, and James “Jimmy” DeMoss; grandchildren, Levi DeMoss, Sidney DeMoss, Bradley DeMoss, John Wayne DeMoss, Christina DeMoss; brothers, Charlie (Lori) DeMoss and Curtis DeMoss; and stepmother, Guadalupe DeMoss Jones.

Pallbearers will be Charlie DeMoss, Aaron Canfield, Dave Rochelle, Matthew Wade, and Chris Anderson.
