James David “JD” Coffman III,87, passed away Monday, October 2nd, 2023, at Signature Healthcare of Hartford, Kentucky. He was born in Giles County on July, 22nd, 1936 and was 87 years old.
JD worked as a truck driver in the lower 48 before moving to Alaska to drive a truck and work as a diesel mechanic. He spent his free time fishing, hunting, and camping mostly with family. JD was a Christian and you could find him every morning reading his bible and every Sunday at Music City Baptist Church in Mt Juliet TN where he was a member.
A graveside service will be 9:00am Friday, October 6th, 2023, at Maplewood Cemetery in Pulaski, Tennessee.
JD was preceded in death by his parents James David and Marie Burton Coffman, Jr, brother Wilson Coffman, wife Shirley Coffman of 47 years, daughters Rebecca Morrison and Julie Vaughn and son Gary Mehrtens.
He is survived by his children David Coffman of Lubbuck, Texas and Bobby (Pam) Coffman of Mt Juliet, Tennessee.
16 Grandchildren and 14 Great grandchildren also survive.
