James David Howell, age 88, Haleyville, AL. passed away Thursday, August 15, 2024. He was born May 5, 1936. He was a Preacher of the Gospel his entire life, went many years on mission trips all over the world, was a member of Whitehouse Church of Christ.
He was a successful businessman, having owned and operated Fullco Lumber Co., most recently, he worked as a Realtor on the Gulf Coast. He had a beautiful Bass singing voice, he led singing his entire life, just this past week, at the White House Church of Christ, his singing was phenomenal at the gospel meeting.
A Memorial Service will be held Sunday, August 18, 2024 at 2:30PM at Ninth Avenue Church of Christ in Haleyville, AL., with Vance Hutton officiating. Visitation with the family and friends will be from 1:30PM – 2:30PM at the church before the service.
He is survived by his daughters, Ginger Howell and Dianna Cassens; sister, Rose Burleson; grandchildren, Emily, Erica, Cody, Logan, Dylan and Evan; great grandchildren, Leah, Hannah, Lorali, Molly, Cash, Chancie, Lawson, Avery, Blakley and Lucas.
He was preceded in death by his parents, John Wright Howell and Rosa Bell Yarbrough Howell; wife, Ruth Ann Howell; brothers, Junior, Pete, Ewing, Tucker and Bryan.
