James Dalton “J.D.” Lamar, 59, of Florence, passed away Dec. 24, 2015, at his residence. He attended Fairview Baptist Church.
Visitation will be Monday, Dec. 28, 2015, from 1–3 p.m., at Greenview Funeral Home. The funeral service will begin at 3 p.m. in the funeral home chapel with Thomas Thorton officiating. Burial will follow in Tri-Cities Memorial Gardens.
Mr. Lamar was preceded in death by his mother, Bertha Lee Burns Lamar; wife, Louise Lamar; and sister, Lana Lamar.
He is survived by his father, Dalton Lamar; daughter, Angela Hope Foster; brother, Chuck Lamar (Kay); sisters, Janice Lamar, Judy Graham (Dan), Lisa Mayes (Jon); granddaughter, Hope Meurer; and grandsons, Daniel Hinton, and Devin Foster.
Active pallbearers will be Jerry Graham, Ricky Lamar, Jonathan Mayes, Jordan Mayes, James “Daniel” Hinton and Devin Gage Foster.
Cody Hayes, Kenneth Barnett and Randall White will serve as honorary pallbearers.
Arrangements are by Greenview Funeral Home.
