James D. Llewellyn, 73, passed away September 11, 2023 at his residence.  He was a veteran of the U. S. Army National Guard, a member of the Florence Elks Lodge, and a member of the Church of Christ.  He coached youth sports for several years at Underwood and Central.  He was retired as a sales associate.

Visitation will be Thursday, September 14, 2023, from 12-1:30 p.m. at Greenview Funeral Home.  The funeral service will follow in the funeral home chapel at 1:30 p.m.  Burial will be at Wesley Chapel cemetery.  Officiating will be Dwight Borden.

Mr. Llewellyn was preceded in death by his father, James Elbert Llewellyn and brother, Donnie Llewellyn.

He is survived by his wife Donna Llewellyn; mother, Dorothy Darby; sons, Brant Llewellyn (Erica), Justin Llewellyn (Ashlie), and Chad Jackson (Stacey); daughters, Alison Herndon, Stacy Hall (Brian), and Amanda Jackson (Mark); grandchildren, Brodie and Maddox Llewellyn, McKinzy McCollum, Parker Llewellyn, Austin Jordan, Adison Burns, Mattie Herndon, Ashlee Clark, Mary Kait Parrish, Tyler Jackson, Briggan Jackson, Creedan Jackson, Jake Hall, Jackson, Brady, Weston and Katie Oriol; and seven great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be Brodie Llewellyn, Maddox Llewellyn, Parker Llewellyn, Chad Jackson, Brian Hall, Larry Turpen, Steve Hanback, Charles Gross, Brian Llewellyn and Randy Riley.

Honorary pallbearers will be Central High School, Class of 1968.

James loved his wife, children, and grandchildren.  He was extremely proud of all their accomplishments. James took great pleasure in putting his feet under Suzy Riley’s dining room table.

The family expresses a special thanks to Aveanna Hospice.
