James Cornelius Smallwood, age 69, of Tuscumbia, passed away unexpectantly on Monday, May 13, 2024, in Albertville.
James was born on September 03, 1954, to James & Gloria (Pate) Smallwood. James loved driving a truck for over 30 years and always made sure his truck was spotless. He was a diehard Alabama fan, Roll Tide. He loved his children, grandchildren, and all his family. He was the most kind, humble, and genuine man you would ever meet.
He was preceded in death by his parents, James & Gloria (Pate) Smallwood) and sister & brother-in-law, Doris & Jimmy Lawler.
He leaves to cherish his memory, his daughters, Melanie Smallwood (Terrance), Shannon Kimbrough (John); grandchildren, Paige Smallwood, Maleek Qualls, Payton Kimbrough, Isaac Kimbrough, Sean Carroll; great-grandchildren, Kyla Qualls, Carson Watson, Blakeley Watson, and baby soon to arrive; siblings, Robert Smallwood (Jody), Ray Smallwood, Brenda McKinney (Raymond), Patricia Preston (Charles); and a host of nieces & nephews.
A private burial will be at Hyde Cemetery.
