Funeral services for Mr. James Clois Duke, age 82, are scheduled for 1 PM, Friday, January 18, 2019 in the chapel of Pafford Funeral Home with Bro. Daniel Lewis officiating. Interment will follow in Judson Cemetery. Mr. Duke passed away on Wednesday in Lexington. He was born August 2, 1936 in Henderson County to the late Ellis and Vernie Hayes Duke. He was a retired sheet metal worker for Morgan Thornberg in Memphis, a member of Judson Baptist Church, and enjoyed gardening, yard work, and country music. He also served in the National Guard and was a Mason. He was preceded in death by his wife, Mrs. Addie “Faye” Couch Duke and one brother, Lenois Duke. Survivors include his daughter, Johnna Irene Duke (Patrick) of Memphis; three sisters, Carlene Mays Derryberry of Lexington, Jean Johnson of Collierville, and Evelyn Middleton of Lexington.
