James Clay Berryman James Clay Berryman, 22, of Booneville, Mississippi, died on Wednesday, October 11, 2023, in his home. Clay belonged to the Bridge at Burnsville and was a student at Northeast Mississippi Community College. He loved to go fishing and duck hunting, and he would be out on the water any chance he got. Most of all, however, Clay loved to spend time with his sisters. His family meant more to him than anything. One of his favorite memories was going to the Indy 500 with his dad, Brad. Clay is survived by his parents, Tonya and Brad Payne; his grandparents, Ricky and Margie Bain and Ben and Mimi Payne; his great-grandmother, Martha McAnespie; his sisters, Kelly Heavner, Tracy Heavner, Lori Heavner, and Amber Duncan; his second mother, Sharon Williams; his best friend, Blanton Conant; his uncles, Joey Bain, Jason Roberts (Leanne), James Frost, and Michael Frost; his aunts, Heather Sparkes (David) and Rebecca Babcock (Kevin); his great-uncle, Raymond Huguley (Lisa); his nieces, Lilly, Layla, and Sharla Kate; his nephews, Payton and Elijah; his cousins, Nicholas, Jude, Collin, Kimberly, Austin, Connor, and Zoey; his very good friends, Kerri and Tony Cobb; and his beloved dog, Princess. He was preceded in death by his sisters, Katie and Ashley Williams; his grandmother, Yvette Huguley; his brother-in-law, Gregory Fowler; his cousins, Mikey Berryman, Payton Carpenter, and Johnny Carpenter; and his close friend, Bubba McCoy. Cutshall Funeral Home in Iuka, MS, is entrusted with the arrangements. Visitation is scheduled from 5:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. on Sunday, October 15, 2023, at The Bridge in Burnsville. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Monday, October 16, 2023, at The Bridge in Burnsville, officiated by Bro. Jason Roberts and Bro. James Rich. Interment will follow in Mt. Pleasant Cemetery in Booneville. Pallbearers include Kelly Heavner, Lori Jo Heavner, Amber Duncan, Blanton Conant, Baylee Tucker, Will Wroten, Wesley Burcham, and Colby Smith. Memorials may be made in Clay’s honor to The Bridge of Hope (Men’s Mental Health) in Burnsville.
