James Clarence Hobby, age 87, formerly of the Mooresville Community, died Thursday, September 12th, 2024, at NHC Oakwood.

He was born June 4th, 1937, in Marshall County, to the late Jimmie C. and Elaine Wilson Hobby. He was a Farmer and a member of the Wilson Hill Church of Christ and was a former elder of Mooresville Church of Christ. He served in the Tennessee National Guard, and loved farming, family and church.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Marietta Briggs Hobby in 2013, and a brother, William Leonard Hobby.

He is survived by his wife, Lavonne Short Lowrance Hobby of Cornersville, two daughters, Cynda Hobby (Barry) Hooten of Lewisburg, and Linda Kay Hobby of the Mooresville Community, four grandchildren, and ten great grandchildren.

Visitation with the family will be held at London Funeral Home on Sunday, September 15th, 2024 from 12:00 noon until 1:30 pm.

Funeral services will be conducted on Sunday, September 15th, 2024, at 1:30 pm from the Chapel of London Funeral Home 324 West Church Street Lewisburg, Tennessee 37091 with burial to follow in Bryant Cemetery.
