Reverend James Casey Perkins Reverend James Casey Perkins was the first son, and second child born to Willie Ruth Davis on May 6, 1954, in Malvern, AR. He attended the Hot Springs “Trojans” School District in Hot Springs, AR. After graduation, he joined the U.S. Navy and served as a U.S. Navy Corpsman. Later, he became employed with Entergy Corporation, where he spent fifty (50) years in a variety of positions including Lineman, Construction Supervisor, Engineer Assistant, and Customer Service Regional Manager.

Rev. Perkins graduated with a Biblical Studies degree from Rhema Bible Training College in Tulsa, OK, and a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Arkansas at Little Rock. He retired from Entergy in 2019 and relocated to Huntsville, AL.

In 2001, Rev. Perkins met Dr. Carolyn A. Watson and became her Boo. To this union, they were blessed with two sons. Together, Rev. and Dr. Perkins built a life in which they were dedicated to sharing the love of God. In 2006, Rev. Perkins answered the call to pastor and founded the Fellowship of Faith Christian Church in Palestine, Arkansas. The church’s mission was to teach the Eternal, Unchanging Word of God by proclaiming the Gospel and the message of faith. Rev. Perkins remained committed to God, his wife, and his children until his death.

He is survived by his wife of twenty-two years, Dr. Carolyn Perkins; three sons, James Casey Perkins, Jr. (Hara) of Manhattan, New York, Cameron John and Christian Mark Perkins of Huntsville, AL; two daughters, Jocelyn Roshelle Perkins of Little Rock, AR and Jaclyn Nicole Perkins of Brooklyn, New York; two Brothers, Ronald Davis (Darlene) and Fred Ellis (Marilyn) both of Hot Springs, AR; two sisters, Peggy Henderson of Conway, AR and Cynthia Collins (Keith) of Collierville, TN; four grandchildren, Judd, Anthony Jason, Ashlynn Nicole and Matthew Perkins; one uncle, Franklin Davis (Vanessa); one aunt, (Willie B. Booth (Roscoe); and a host of nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Rev. Perkins was preceded in death by his mom, Willie Ruth Davis; father, Elder Truman Marshall; and sister, Linda Norris (C O).

The graveside service for Reverend James Casey Perkins 12:00 noon, Saturday, May 25, 2024 at the Oakwood Memorial Gardens (1 HL Cleveland Way Huntsville, AL 35806) with Reverend Herbert Cartwright, Jr. officiating.

There will be no public viewing.
