James Carthel “J. T.” Honeycutt, Sr., 77, of Burnsville, MS, died Saturday, December 12, 2015, at his residence. J. T. was a man of many hats, having worked as a skilled carpenter, a carpet layer, and a mechanic. He could tinker and fix just about anything, and was always looking for something to work on. He loved spending time with his family which included his dogs and friends. J. T. will be greatly missed by many. Funeral services are scheduled for 1:00 p.m., Monday, December 14, at Antioch Freewill Baptist Church, officiated by Bro. Robert Wood. Interment will follow in Antioch Cemetery. Visitation is scheduled for one hour prior to service time at the church on Monday. Cutshall Funeral Home of Iuka, MS is entrusted with arrangements. He is survived by two sons, J. C. Honeycutt, Jr. (Barbara) and Shane Honeycutt; two daughters, Sherry Davis (Jerry) and Shelaina Early (R. P.); one brother, Gary Lynn Lambert; nine grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife, Margaret Honeycutt; his parents, Cullen Odell Honeycutt and Nannie Mae Burns Lambert; a brother, Jerry Don Lambert; and a sister, Shelby Jean Tyler. Memorials may be made to Antioch Freewill Baptist Church.
