James Carl HorneMemorial services for Mr. James Carl Horne, 92, of Cullman are  on Saturday, May 11, 2019 at 10 a.m. at West President Church of Christ in Greenwood, Mississippi, Mike Schmitz officiating.

Mr. Horne passed away on May 6, 2019.  He was born in Yazoo City, Mississippi on Dec. 14, 1926 to James Dewey Horne and Jessie Spiers Horne.  He was a US Navy Veteran, having served during World War II and Korea and participated in the Bikini Atoll Atomic Test.

He was preceded in death by his parents; first wife, Mary Sweeney Horne; brothers, James David Horne and William Butch Horne and sisters, Louise Alred and Clydia Cartwright.

He is survived by his wife, Jean Horne; children, James Carl (Wanda) Horne Jr., Richard (Debbie) Dotts , Joan Martz, Barbara Clark, Shannon (Connie) Minga and Denatte Edgar; sisters, Richie Page, Winnie Mae Stuckey, Thelma Williamson and Joyce Merritt; fourteen grandchildren; nine great grandchildren; one great great grandchild and a host of other family and friends.

In lieu of flowers, please make donations to Fletcher’s Chapel Cemetery Fund at 5711 Fletcher’s Chapel Road, Yazoo City, MS 39194.
