James Carl Cole

Age 82 of White House passed away Saturday, July 29, 2023 at his home. He was born April 22, 1941 in Nashville, TN to Willie D. & Lula Romines Cole. He was retired from Pirelli-Armstrong. He enjoyed rabbit hunting, fishing for catfish and field trialing his beagles. He was a member of the Music City Beagle Club and was an avid Atlanta Braves and White House Blue Devils fan. He is preceded in death by his parents; sisters, Opal and Christine; brother, John D. Cole; daughter, Chandra Dickie; son, Rory Todd Cole. He is survived by his loving wife of 51 years, Delores Cole, Millersville, TN; daughters, Landi (Wayne) Bush, Cross Plains, TN and Wanda (Roger) McClendon, Greenbrier, TN; sisters, Gladys Jenkins, Madison, TN, Shirley Bailey, Goshen, KY and Patricia Buchanan, Cross Plains, TN; 10 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; 3 great-great-grandchildren. Funeral service is scheduled for Tuesday, August 1, 2023 at 11am in the chapel of Austin & Bell Funeral Home in White House with Bro. Willie Travis, officiating. Interment will follow in Hillcrest Cemetery with 4 grandsons, Patrick Thomason, Cody Cole, Kory Bush and Rusty McClendon and Jarick Reynolds and Blake Thomason serving as pallbearers. Visitation with the family is planned for Monday, July 31, 2023 4-8pm and Tuesday, August 1, 2023 9-11am at the funeral home. Friends and family are asked to wear any Atlanta Braves or White House Blue Devils apparel to the Monday night visitation in Carl’s honor.
