Mr. James Calvin “J. C.” Greene age 76 of Beulah Road, Boaz, Alabama died Monday, Sept. 16, 2013 at Huntsville Hospital. Funeral service will be Thursday, Sept. 19, 2013, at4:00 p.m. at McRae Funeral Home with Bro. Tony Hocomb officiating, interment to follow in Concord Cemetery near Fairview. McRae Funeral Home of Boaz, Alabama is in charge of the arrangements. Visitation will be Wednesday evening from 6-8 at the funeral home. Mr. Greene was born in Mississippi on Aug. 19, 1937 to Semmie & Ollie Belle Rinks Green. He was retired from the lumber industry after 38 years of service.
Mr. Greene is survived by his Wife of 27 years: Geraldine Ponder Greene of Boaz Sons: Dwight Green of Tenn. and Mark & Kirsten Laney of Washington, Daughters & Sons-in-Law: Bettye Carol & Barron Latta of Arab, Sheree & Bobby Barden and Katherine Donahoe all of Tenn., 10 Grandchildren and 7 Great Grandchildren, Brothers & sister-in-Law: Noonan & Barbara Green of Piperton Tenn., Larry Greene of Greenville, Miss., Tommy Greene of Tishomingo, Miss. and Ronnie Greene of Miss., Sisters & Brothers-in-Law: Ozelle & Hoyt Cobb of Memphis, Tenn., Claire Winfield of Tishomingo, Miss,, Earline Dew of Memphis, Tenn., Arnola & Bob Hollifield of Alexandria, Virginia, Mae & Tony Palazola of Memphis, Tenn., Patricia Greene and Donna Greene both of Tishomingo, Miss., Special friends: Doug & Sheryl Morris of Boaz, A Host of Nieces and Nephews. He was preceded in death by his Parents: Semmie & Ollie Belle Green and Sister: Louise Flurry. Pallbearers will be Bart Johnson, Dennis Milam, Max Wise, Ricky Young, ????
