James C. Wright, age 77, passed away on August 21, 2024, surrounded by family at St. Vincent’s East Hospital in Birmingham, AL. Mr. Wright was preceded in death by his wife, Louise A. Wright; father, James C. Wright; mother, Marjorie Louise Minchew Wright; brothers, Thomas W. Wright and Doyle S. Wright; and sister, Shirley Wright Reynolds.
Mr. Wright is survived by his brothers, Byron Wright, Jimmy Wright and John Wright; sisters, Ava Wright, Frankie Wright, and Beth and Sharon; stepdaughter, Cheryl Alexander; and several nieces and nephews.
James Wright was a Calhoun County resident and he loved to play musical instruments like dobro, guitar and banjo. He loved the outdoors, sitting in the swing soaking up some sunshine or catching a few raindrops. He will be missed here and will stay in our hearts forever.
The family would like to give a special thanks to the nurses, doctors and the special care team of the CICU unit at St. Vincent’s East Hospital in Birmingham, AL.
