James C. “Jimmy” Stone, 69, of Spruce Pine, passed away Sunday, October 27, 2013, at Russellville Hospital.
Mr. Stone was a lifelong resident of Franklin County and was retired from Reynolds/Wise Alloys. He was a member, trustee, and usher chairman at First Free Will Baptist Church of Russellville and was a veteran of the U.S. Army.
The funeral service will be Tuesday, October 29, 2013, at 11:00 a.m., at Pinkard Funeral Home Chapel, Russellville, with burial in Franklin Memory Gardens. Officiating will be Bro. Thomas Loyd. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Monday, October 28, from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m.
He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Brenda Ann Stone; daughter, Tonya Prince and husband, Terry, Spruce Pine; sister, Regina Lawler, and husband, Perry, Russellville; granddaughter, Hannah Prince; one nephew, Chris Lawler.
Pallbearers will be Jimmy Fuller, Anthony Mayberry, Billy Nix, Lee Fugate, James Mitchell, Freddy Hall, Tim Smith, Hoyt Walker, and Terry Benford.
