JamesJames C. “Jack” Keeton, age 85, of Florence passed quietly from this life to a new life on June 17, 2013.Visitation will be Thursday, June 20th from 11:00 am until 1:00 pm at Mt. Zion Church of Christ. The service will follow at 1:00 pm in the church with Brother Robert Huffaker and Brother Rodney Rice officiating. Burial will be at Tri-Cities Memorial Gardens. Pallbearers will be elders and deacons of Mt. Zion Church of Christ. Jack was born December 29, 1927 in Lauderdale County to Ellie and Nelli Keeton. They both preceeded him in death along with his beloved son, Jeffery Mark, 3 sisters and 2 brothers. He married Mary Wright, the love of his life on December 19, 1947. He was a very loving Christian husband, daddy, granddaddy, and great-granddaddy. He enjoyed spending time with grandchildren and his great-grandchildren. He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy, retired from Reynolds Metals Co., and a member of the Church of Christ. He is survived by his loving wife of 65 ½ years, Mary Wright Keeton, daughter, Susan Riley (Steve); son, Greg (Girlfriend Constance), also brother, Clifford and sister, Peggy Swinea, and a number of nephews and nieces; grandchildren, Tim Riley, Tina Anderson (Jimmy), and Alana Keeton; also, 4 great-granddaughters, Haley Riley, Amanda, Kayleigh, and Allison Anderson. Our family wishes to thank Dr. David Hollis, Tennessee Valley Hospice especially April and Tina, Caretakers, Sharhonda, Mike and grandchildren for their patience and loving care.
