James Bynum “J.B” Tingle, age 89 of Addison, passed away Thursday, May 30, 2024 at Decatur Morgan Hospital surrounded by his loved ones.
J.B was born July 11, 1934 to John Henry and Margaret Mae Tingle. He was the former owner of J. B’s BBQ in Addison, Alabama. J.B loved sports, especially football and nascar. He also loved all types of music. His “great” grandchildren were his pride and joy. J.B proudly served in the United Stated Air Force where he retired as a technical sergeant after 20 years of service.
Visitation will be Wednesday, June 5, 2024 at 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. at Nichols Funeral Home in Addison, Alabama, where the Memorial Service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Brother Tim Box will officiate.
James is survived by his children, Wayne Tingle, Robin (David) Davis, Sharon (Kevin) Hollingsworth, and Tim (Crystal) Tingle; sisters, Gail (George) Johansen, Dale (Edsel) Martin; and a host of grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, John, and Margaret Tingle; brothers, Aubrey (Estelle) Tingle, and Theo (Jo) Tingle; sister, Anna (Horace) Wallace.
