James Brumley – Obituary

James Brumley was born October 6, 1941 in Bethel Springs, TN the son of the late Joseph Gilbert and Julia Louvie Jones Brumley.

He was united in marriage to Annie Faye Sanders on November 25, 1961. For the next 55 years, he was devoted to being a good husband and provider. In the late afternoon, time was spent watching their favorite shows Cheyenne, Gunsmoke, Wagon Train and Laramie. They loved spending time together and you rarely saw one without the other.

Mr. Brumley was a mechanic for Mayfield Trucking. He spent a lot of time working on old cars and tractors, going to car shows and stock car races and watching NASCAR. He was a member of the Second Baptist Church in Selmer, Tennessee and enjoyed attending services with his wife. He was a regular coffee drinker at T&T Grocery.

He was a Christian man who put others first. He loved his family dearly and will be greatly missed by all who knew him.

Mr. Brumley departed this life on January 7, 2017 in Bethel Springs, Tennessee at the age of 75 Years, 3 Months, 1 Day. He is survived by his wife, Annie Faye Brumley of Bethel Springs, TN; a son, James Rickey Brumley and wife Phyllis of Sleepy Hollow, IL; a brother, Jimmy Brumley of Purdy, TN; a sister, Janie Tull of Bethel Springs, TN; a granddaughter, Nicole Sprouse and husband Joe; grandson, Austin Brumley; and a host of extended family and friends.
