James Billy McDonald, 75, a native of Lauderdale County, passed away Thursday, Oct. 3, 2013, at his residence after a brief illness. He was a member of the Church of Christ at Macedonia.
Visitation will be today from 6-8 p.m. at Greenview Funeral Home. The funeral service will be Sunday, Oct. 6, 2013, at 2 p.m. in Greenview Memorial Chapel with Arvy Dupuy officiating. Burial will follow in Mt. Zion Cemetery.
Mr. McDonald was preceded in death by his parents, Frank and Bessie Futrell McDonald.
He is survived by his wife, Gail Kelley McDonald; son, Mike Kelley (Tena); daughter, Angie McDonald Cromwell; sister, Faye Sledge (Lawrence), all of Florence; and grandchild, Casey Cromwell Hooper (Phillip), of Duluth, Ga.
Pallbearers will be Tracy Smith, Robert Holt, Adam Holt, Phillip Hooper, Jimmy Boren and Mike Davidson.
