James B. Haddock, 81, of Florence, died September 3, 2014, at ECM Hospital. Visitation will be Saturday beginning at 2pm at Wesley Chapel United Methodist Church followed by the service at 3pm with Rev. Jerry Hastings officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
Mr. Haddock was born in the Central Community and was a member of Wesley Chapel United Methodist Church. During the Korean War he served in the US Army and was retired from the US Postal Service.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Vester and Ethel Haddock; brothers, Orlan and Clyde Haddock; sisters, Jewell Davis and Ruth Horton.
Surviving are his wife of 51 years, Patty Threet Haddock; son, Wesley Haddock (Lynne), Evensville, TN; daughter, Leigh Ann Hunter (Scott), Muscle Shoals; grandchildren, Griffin Hunter, Muscle Shoals, Patrick Gravett (Susan), Dayton, OH and Brittney Gravett, Evensville, TN; great grandchildren, Parker and Paisley Gravett; brother, Douglas Haddock (Dian), Orlando, FL; sister, Patricia Haddock, Florence; several nieces and nephews . 
Pallbearers will be Harry Wallace, Lanny Bruce, Michael Gahan, Patrick Gravett, Joe Haddock, Bob Simmons, Griffin Hunter and Scott Hunter.
