James Anthony Whitten, 19, of Florence, passed away on Wednesday, August 24, 2016. Visitation will be Friday from 1:00 until 3:00 p.m. at Morrison Funeral Home, Central Heights. The funeral service will follow at 3:00 p.m. in the funeral home chapel with Bro. William Staggs officiating. Burial will follow at Riverbend Cemetery.
James attended Antioch Baptist Church and was preceded in death by his mother, Joetta Kidwell; grandparents, James and Ora Whitten and James Williams.
James is survived by his parents, Tony and Rhonda Whitten; grandmother, Joy Williams; brothers, Justin and Josh Kidwell and Jeremy Russell; aunts, Laura Kidwell Smith and Cheryl Price; uncles, Clifford Whitten and Michael Whitten; 3 nephews; and a host of cousins and friends.
