James Alvin Hill, 81 of Athens, passed away Friday, March 5, 2021 at Athens Limestone Hospital.
Funeral Service will be Monday March 8, 2021 at 2 P.M. at McConnell Memorial Chapel with Ben Donahue officiating.
Visitation will be Monday March 8, 2021 from 12-1:45 P.M. at McConnell Funeral Home.
Burial will be in Roselawn Cemetery.
Mr. Hill was born January 18, 1940 in Alabama to Thomas Hill and Clara Harris Hill.
He is preceded in death by his parents, one brother, Donnie Hill, two sons, James Hill, and Dennis Hill, one grandson, James Michael Campbell, and one granddaughter, Jessica Campbell Morris.
Mr. Hill was a member of Carey Baptist Church for many years. He loved God and his family very much. Survivors include, his wife Dorothy, one son, Randy Hill of New Jersey, three daughters, Jill Evans (Craig) of Toney, AL, Carolane Maniscalco (Jay) of Athens, AL, and Annette Lenox (Billy) of Huntsville, AL, one sister, Virginia Pressnell of Athens,AL, four grandchildren Corey Hill, Leslie McIntyre, Todd Smith, Chase Hill, and several great grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Todd Smith, Will Grisham, Chase Hill, Josh Pylant, Bobby Pylant, Corey Hill, Jerry Neal Gulley, and Craig Evans.
Memorials may be made to Alzheimer’s Association.
