James Alfred Black Sr., 77, of Gurley, passed away Thursday, June 17.
He is survived by his loving wife of 61 years, Betty Jo Black; children, Frankie Edward Black, Rosanna Wylie, Shelby Charline McClure, Mark Anthony Black, Ashton Hunter Black, Charles Hayden Black, Haysten Gabriel Vick, Rickey D. Mason, Sam Mason, and James Wilbourn; 15 grandchildren; and 6 great grandchildren.
James is preceded in death by his parents, Edward and Mary Black; sons, James A. Black Jr., David Warren Black, and Edward F. Black Jr.; and a host of other family members.
A graveside service will take place on Monday, June 21 at 2 p.m. at Gurley City Cemetery with Leslie Peace and Thomas Black officiating.
