Mr. James Albert Lawhorne Sr., 85, of Scottsboro, passed away Monday November 7, 2022.
Mr. Lawhorne was a veteran of US Marine Corp.. After serving the Marines he served in the US Army National Guard of Alabama. He was retired from TVA and later went to nursing school so he could take care of his mother. He donated a kidney to his brother. Mr. Lawhorne was a loving son and father. He wrote a note to his dear sons, Charlie and James Jr., that read, “Dear Mo & Jack, My Soul is with Jesus. If you will trust and believe in JESUS I will see you again soon. All my Love; Yo Pappy”
He will be dearly missed.
He is survived by his son, James (Julia) Lawhorne Jr. and preceded in death by son, Charles A. Lawhorne.
