Mr. James Alan Brittain, age 63, passed away on Thursday, October 3, 2024 in Jackson. He was born March 21, 1961 in Blytheville, Arkansas to the late James Clayton Brittain and Shirlene Hugley Brittain. He was a retired supervisor at Columbus McKinnon and a U. S. Coast Guard Veteran. Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Shirley Jean Farris Brittain; three brothers, Alan Brittain (Patti), Jerry Brittain, and David Brittain; sister, Judy Dennison; nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews; stepchildren, Christy & Pat Shewmake, Julie & Chris Heinemeier, Michael Condry, Rebecca & Steve Bernstein, and Gina Condry; 7 step grandchildren; and 16 step great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by two sisters, Linda Epperson and Brenda Smith.
Graveside services are scheduled for 3 PM, Saturday, October 5, 2024, at Palestine Presbyterian Cemetery.
