James A. Wray, 92, of Pinson, Tennessee, who died Tuesday night, January 27, 2015 at Jackson-Madison County General Hospital.
Mr. Wray was the husband of the late Dosha Bryant Wray. He was a Veteran of World War II and was attached to the Fifteenth Field Artillery Battalion in European Theater of Operations. He fought at Normandy as well as other historical battlefields.
He was born November 8, 1922, the son of James Frank and Alline Baker Wray of Hardeman County. He worked for the Shelby County Government for 25 years, retiring in 1973. He then went to work at APAC for 12 years. He was of Baptist faith.
Mr. Wray is the father of the late Arnold David Wray, and two surviving daughters, Carol A. Capps and Mary R. Harris, all of Pinson, Tennessee.
Mr. Wray also leaves 7 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.
