jacqulineJacqueline “Jackie” Spivey McNeely, 79, of Jesup, Georgia and Bluffton, South Carolina died Sunday, Nov. 29, 2015 after an extended illness. The Wrightsville, Georgia native and former resident of Jesup, Georgia and Decatur, Alabama had lived in Bluffton, South Carolina the past 11 years and was a homemaker who enjoyed music and being with her family. She was predeceased by her husband, John Paul McNeely Jr.; parents, Walter and Kate Haywood Spivey; and six siblings.
Survivors are her daughters, Darlene McNeely of Hilton Head, South Carolina and Paula (Mike) Hughes of Bluffton, South Carolina; granddaughter, Kelli Key Byrd of Nashville, Tennessee; great-grandchildren, Elizabeth Byrd of Colton, California and Gabriel Byrd of Nashville, Tennesee; brother, Truett (Janet) Spivey of Centerville, Georgia; numerous nieces and nephews.
Graveside service will be held today, Dec. 2, 2015 at 2 p.m. at Jesup City Cemetery with Rev. Ray Tharpe officiating. Visitation will be from 1 to 2 p.m. at Rinehart and Sons Funeral Home.
