Jacqueline “Jackie” Richards Bullock, age 83 of Anniston, passed away on Sunday, February 4, 2024.
She is survived by her sister, Josseline Barnard (Derek); children, Julie Cheatwood, Bill Pope (Karen), Lorie Brown (Ricky), Steve Pope (Marsha), and Deborah Murray; grandchildren, Matthew Sprayberry, Brandy Cheatwood (Brad), Dillan Pope (Megan), Nicholas Pope (Callie), Logan Brown (Michaela), Leia Hawkins (John), Jordan Smith and Andrew Bullock; great grandchildren, Kyrie Anthony, Jaxtyn, Jay, Jett Heard, Rhett Hawkins, Harley Murray; and many friends and Family!
Jackie was preceded in death by her husband, Elbert Howard “Bull” Bullock; parents, Violet and Maurice Barnard; brother, Michael Barnard; daughter, Karen Shultz; stepsons, Howard “Kippy” Bullock, and Faron Bullock; son in law, Carl Murray; and grandchildren, Tyler Murray, Josh Bullock, Kevin Suggs.
Jackie “Nannie” was a fun-loving, strong-willed (stubborn!), and independent person. She lived her life to the fullest, bringing her kindness, humor, and sass with her wherever she went. Her rambunctious spirit made a lasting impression on anyone who had the pleasure of knowing her. But what stands out the most about Jackie is her commitment to family. She taught her 5 children the importance of family above all else, and that showed in every aspect of her life. Her house was always filled with toys for the grandkids, drinks for the friends, and love for all. Jackie will be missed by so many, but especially the family she leaves behind. Special thanks to SouthernCare New Beacon Hospice for the exceptional care they provided over the past few years.
A celebration of life service will be held at 6:00 PM on Wednesday, February 7, 2024, at the Chapel at Cremation Services of East Alabama, 733 White Plains Road, Anniston, AL 36207. The family will receive friends from 4:00 PM until 6:00 PM prior to the service.
